The Emlyn Beagles' Hunt Country is one of the most spectacular in the United Kingdom. Ranging from Ffair Rhos in Ceredigion to St Clears in Carmarthenshire, the Country encompasses the Cambrian Mountains, Tregaron Bog, the Tywi valley and upland pasture around Newcastle Emlyn.

The Hunt's best centres are around Llanddewi Brefi and Tregaron to the north, and Cwrt-y-Cadno and Cilycwm to the south of the Country.

Our meets vary hugely in character, from the wild uplands around the Teifi Pools at Ffair Rhos and the steep hills outside Llanddewi Brefi, to the gentler agricultural pasture at Pontsian. All of our meets afford excellent viewing, whether you want to run with the hounds, or find a vantage point on top of a hill to see how the hunt progresses.

We generally meet either at Public Houses or at the homes of Hunt Members. Either way, we receive excellent hospitality both before and after meets, including huge slabs of Gorwydd Caerphilly served at the New Inn, Llanddewi Brefi and post-hunt bowls of cawl at the Talbot, Tregaron.

As well as the publicans and supporters who host meets, we are extremely grateful to the landowners and farmers whose kind permission to hunt over their land allows us not only excellent sport but to enjoy the sublime views and wildlife you can see in the photographs below (click to enlarge).
